Welcome to Respiro - your personal breathing coach and wellness companion. Respiro helps you find calm, improve focus, sleep better, and boost your energy through guided breathing exercises. With 12 themed Breathing Spaces, a personalized planner, mood journaling, challenges, and 60 research-backed articles, Respiro adapts to your goals and health profile.

The Onboarding Flow
When you first open Respiro, Oxy (your oxygen bubble guide) walks you through a personalized setup. You can skip at any time and come back later from your Account page. The onboarding covers 6 steps:
- Your name and profile - so Oxy can greet you personally throughout the app
- Your goals - choose from Stress Relief, Focus, Sleep, Energy, Meditation, Recovery, Confidence, Digestion, or Anxiety Relief
- Experience level - Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced, which determines exercise intensity and pattern complexity
- Health considerations - conditions like asthma, anxiety, high blood pressure, or pregnancy so Respiro can filter out exercises that may not be suitable
- Lung capacity test - an optional breath-hold timer to measure your baseline and personalize session durations
- Schedule preferences - your preferred times, days of the week, and sessions per day
After completing onboarding, Respiro automatically generates a personalized practice schedule in your Planner, including both breathing sessions and recommended reading tailored to your goals.

Your First Steps
After onboarding, here's the recommended path to get the most out of Respiro:
- Visit the Home screen - tap Oxy or the Quick Reset button to start your first breathing session
- Explore the 12 Breathing Spaces - each is tailored to a different goal with multiple routines
- Check your Planner - your auto-generated schedule is ready with sessions and recommended articles for the week
- Read an article - try the "Try This Exercise" widget to launch a session directly from what you're reading
- After a session, log your mood and energy in the Journal
- Track your streak in Stats and take on a Challenge when you're ready

Breathing Spaces are themed collections of guided exercises organized by goal. Each space contains 4 routines at different durations and intensities, quick-start actions, related articles, and schedule templates. Tap any space below to explore it:

Health-Aware Practice
Respiro takes your wellbeing seriously. If you indicate health conditions during onboarding (such as asthma, high blood pressure, heart conditions, or pregnancy), the app automatically filters out exercises that may be unsuitable and suggests safer alternatives. Your health profile is stored locally and used only to personalize your experience.

Quick Tips for Beginners
- Start with 5 minutes: Short sessions help you build the habit without feeling overwhelmed
- Choose a quiet environment: Find a comfortable, distraction-free spot for your practice
- Breathe through your nose: Unless instructed otherwise, nasal breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system for deeper calm
- Don't force it: If a pattern feels uncomfortable, try a different space or shorten the duration
- Be consistent: Daily practice (even 3 minutes) is more beneficial than occasional long sessions
- Use the Planner: Let Respiro schedule your sessions and reminders so you don't have to think about it
